這是美國著名音樂製作人Timbaland重新混音的版本，2019年發佈。
因為《SUITS》引不插電版，我先入為主，覺得不插電版有種淡淡的滄桑感。原版也很動聽，情感跌宕較多。大家喜歡哪個版本呢？

譯後小記
大家好，我是八千里。
每次聽這曲，都有想哭的感覺（T__T）。
Lewis接受Stack Magazine訪問（原文按此）時，提到創作此曲的靈感。他說創作《Waves》的前一年，在倫敦待了一年，搞了幾件音樂事，可是完全沒有「哇塞！超棒的！」激情感覺，明明十五歲時和朋友開場派對、看個電影都興奮了大半天，為甚麼自己現在會變成這樣呢？因此，他想藉《Waves》感歎人越大，心越老。（Lewis於1987年出生，寫《Waves》時年約29。）
簡直道出人生的真相。青春是美好的年華，一去不復回。我相信再過十年，二十年，失去更多衝勁和投奔理想的動力時，聽這曲的感受只會更深、更空虛。
以浪潮滾流喻時光流逝，不得不提蘇軾《念奴嬌．赤壁懷古》呢！我覺得《Ｗaves》較多感慨自己不再雄心壯志，而《念奴嬌》就是蘇軾自我開解難展鴻圖的鬱結。
一開始看到音樂MV的時候，不禁有一點點失望，因為導演選擇從愛情角度理解歌詞，沒有帶出人生滄桑的感覺。可是後來釋懷了，畢竟作者已死（The Death of the Author, Roland Barthes），文本詮釋可說是自由的。
